Increase in processing fees from 1 April 2024

We regret to inform you that, effective from 1 April 2024, there will be a slight adjustment in our editorial costs for producing contributions. The new rate will be ZAR220 per page, a modest increase from the previous ZAR200. This adjustment is necessitated by the rise in our editorial expenses, and we have made efforts to keep the increase as minimal as possible.

At PER / PELJ, we remain steadfast in our commitment to publishing peer-reviewed original work. Our online platform has significantly enhanced the journal's global visibility, with contributions being widely read on an international scale. As of today, we are proud to share that the journal has garnered 6504 citations on GoogleScholar, boasting an h-index of 32 and an i10-index of 196. Furthermore, our Scopus CiteScore improved from 0.4 in 2022 to 0.5 in 2023, a testament to our ongoing pursuit of excellence.
